The Course | What We Learnt | The
Way We Worked |
We were having lots of fun but not only that: There was a project behind it. As "locals" we were asked to describe our favourite places in and around Brighton. No, this is not Jack's house, although that came close to a favourite spot on course nights... When the sun comes out and she has more than a minute, Maria takes her lot to Stanmer Park. |
You can walk up and up until you come to the top of the Downs... Or do what Pam likes best: have a rest in the shadows of the trees and wait for the sun to vanish. Alternatively she likes to pity the walkers who pass by her favourite tennis courts. |
Pat suggests that you should take some time off to listen to marsh frogs in the watermeadows of the Lewes Railway Land. And what's more: This nature reserve is in the middle of Lewes, so a tea-shop is never far... |
If you want all of this in one day, start off in Stanmer Park and walk on a Public Footpath across the Downs to Lewes, as Heike has done at different times of the year. And if you choose a clear day you can even see the sea.
