What We Worked On
Introducing The Course | What We Learnt | The Way We Worked

We were having lots of fun but not only that: There was a project behind it. As "locals" we were asked to describe our favourite places in and around Brighton. No, this is not Jack's house, although that came close to a favourite spot on course nights... When the sun comes out and she has more than a minute, Maria takes her lot to Stanmer Park.

You can walk up and up until you come to the top of the Downs... Or do what Pam likes best: have a rest in the shadows of the trees and wait for the sun to vanish. Alternatively she likes to pity the walkers who pass by her favourite tennis courts.

Pat suggests that you should take some time off to listen to marsh frogs in the watermeadows of the Lewes Railway Land. And what's more: This nature reserve is in the middle of Lewes, so a tea-shop is never far...

If you want all of this in one day, start off in Stanmer Park and walk on a Public Footpath across the Downs to Lewes, as Heike has done at different times of the year. And if you choose a clear day you can even see the sea.
